The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), after over nine months strike, is reportedly set for opening the doors of Nigerian Universities, latest Friday next week.
This is following the Federal Government’s decision yesterday to agree to the demands by ASUU, that they be exempted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), which appeared to be a major stumbling block to the conclusion of negotiations by both parties. Hence, the coast is now clear for ASUU to suspend its industrial action.
