In a statement issued on Sunday by Governor Zulum’s spokesman,, the Borno State Government has refuted reports claiming there was another attack by Boko Haram on Governor Babagana Zulum and his security details. According to the report the latest attack claimed that the lives of seven soldiers and two members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF)and in the attacked convoy were military and security officers who were to provide support for the Governor who flew from Maiduguri in a helicopter.
The statement on Sunday, said, contrary to the news report,the Governor travelled to Baga on Saturday, spent the day supervising the distribution of food items to 5,000 residents and returned to Maiduguri safely.
