Abuja court of Appeal has on Wednesday set aside the February 25, 2020 verdict of the Federal High Court in Abuja which convicted an ex-national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Olisa Metuh, on money laundering charges. In it's ruling the court held that Justice Abang Okon of the Federal High Court in Abuja was biased in the case of the former spokesman to the PDP.
Justice Stephen Adah who lead the three man panel, and also delivered the lead judgement held that the utterances of the trial judge, Justice Okon, was biased. He therefore ordered that the trail be conducted afresh and the case file sent to a judge of the Federal High Court other than justice Okon.
