Dr Ann Amuta, a Nigerian, who works as an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology at Texas Women's University, has taken to Twitter to state why couples should make friendship, not sex, goosebumps, or butterflies - the foundation of a marriage.
Using her marriage as an example, Dr. Ann explained that the pandemic has forced her and her husband to work from home for months and they spend all hours of the day with each other without getting tired of each other, 'their friendship has sustained them', she said. She wrote, "Before you marry anyone, make sure there’s a friendship there, not just goosebumps, butterflies and sex. Friendship is the foundation of an enjoyable marriage."
