COVID-19 Second Wave: FG to review January 18 school resumption date

The Federal Government has said it will review January 18, the school resumption proposed date for year 2021 across the federation. This is due to the rising cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

Malam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, revealed this to reporters in Abuja. Most states had fixed January 18 for the resumption of schools in line with the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 (PTF) directive.  But Adamu said the date was subject to review following the increase in the numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country. "The PTF will review the date, he said."
