Heavily armed gunmen on Saturday, by 1:00am invaded Rachael's Orphanage, opposite UBE Junior Secondary School, Naharati, Abaji, Abuja, and abducted 11 persons, 7 of which are orphans, three women and a security guard.
Reports said the gunmen operated quietly without shooting. The spokesperson of the FCT police command, ASP Maryam Yusuf, said the command had deployed its men to the forest to ensure that victims are rescued unhurt. Gunmen also reportedly abducted and killed a Local Government Chairman and his nephew in Jalingo, Taraba state.
