The Ondo State Government on Monday said it had started registering herdsmen in the state with the aim of ejecting unregistered herders from the state’s forest reserves as Miyetti Allah, and Governor's Forum back the State Governor's (Akeredolu) order after their meeting yesterday.
Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, the Special Adviser to state Governor on Security, disclosed this in Akure, where the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Governors Forum met yesterday. It was gathered that herdsmen had started leaving the Ondo State’s forest reserves in accordance to the state Government’s order, which was backed by Governors’ Forum and the Miyetti Allah at their meeting on Monday.
