Chioma discloses face of Davido's son in new photos



Davido's third baby mama and the mother of his son, Chioma Rowland popularly known as Chefchi, took to instagram to share cute photos of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, revealing his face in public for the first time.

Davido and Chioma have been hiding the face of their son, Ifeanyi, for sometime, since his birth. Their first attempt to reveal his face was on Davido's latest album, a better time, which he used his image and that of Ifeanyi in the cover, but in black and white version, revealing little of what Ifeanyi's face really looks like. A lot of fans had been anticipating to see the face of Ifeanyi, who they refer as OBO Junior, a name coiled from Davido's other nickname, OBO, meaning 'Omo Baba Olowo'.

Apostle Suleman sues Pastor David, demands N5b, wants him arrested over alleged adultery



Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer, Omega Fire Ministries International,  has sued Pastor Mike David, who recently accused him of interfering in his marriage, to court, demanding N5billion as damages from him.

Apostle Suleman, in a suit filed at the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja accuses David of “conspiracy to blackmail and defamation of character.” His lawyer, Osa Director, in a statement, said David was expelled from the ministry in 2018 for “acts inimical to the body of Christ,” and has since “been attempting to blackmail Apostle Suleman.” The Lawyer said: “It has come to our knowledge that one Mike David has purportedly filed a law suit against our client, Apostle Johnson Suleman and seeking two billion naira as damages for alleged interference in his marriage which has since been dissolved a few years ago. But we are yet to be served with any court process," he noted.

German court unable to access $60m in Bitcoin wallet as Fraudster refuses to give password



A court spokesman on Thursday, revealed that German court authorities are unable to cash in more than $60 million in bitcoins confiscated from a convicted fraudster as he has not revealed the passwords.

The court in the southern town of Kempten has been able to sell just 86 of the 1,800 bitcoins seized from the man, who created them illegally by hacking the computers of others. The Spokesman said the digital coins were protected by multiple passwords, and that IT specialists had been unable to crack them. There's also a possibility that the Fraudster had forgotten the password, he added.

Gunmen kidnap Punch Reporter and 2 others in Kubwa


Gunmen on Wednesday abducted a Punch reporter, Okechukwu Nnodim, at his house in the Arab Road area of Kubwa, Abuja. The kidnappers also attacked his neighbours and went away with the two sons of a widow, Mrs Faith Gbeyide.

The Punch reporter's wife, Oluchi, while narrating the incident on Thursday, explained that her husband was working on his laptop when five strange men scaled the fence around 11pm and entered their compound, ordering them to open the door. She said the gunmen fired several shots at the windows and subsequently pulled down the burglary-proof iron after which they forced the front door open. “My husband asked me to stay with the children in their room. I heard the men asking him to bring out money but he told them he didn’t have money in the house. They took our phones and marched him out of the house. They went to our neighbour’s house and also abducted her two sons" she narrated.

Two siblings arrested for allegedly killing a Makeup Artist in Enugu



Some time ago, a make-up Artist, Ijeoma Nweke was found dead in Enugu. Her alleged killers, two siblings, Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka have been arrested and arraigned in court today.

Chiamaka and her brother, Emeka allegedly killed Ijeoma for having an affair with her boyfriend. During the hearing, it was revealed that Chiamaka lured Ijeoma by inviting her for a make up job. On getting there and suspecting foul play, Ijeoma quickly sent an SOS message to a friend, before being forced to drink a poisoned substance. The two siblings went on to pour substance said to be acid on Ijeoma, an eye witness who was also present in the court revealed this. Also present in court was the boyfriend who was willing to testify against the two siblings. The case was adjourned to February 24, 2021.

Fans on Twitter celebrate world Wizkid day, today



Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun better known as Wizkid, was born on July 16, 1990, but following a tweet from his  fan page, @TeamWizkidFc on Twitter, which noted that every February 4 was set aside to celebrate him for his greatness and contribution to the development of Africa music at large, his teeming fans have taken to Twitter to celebrate World Wizkid Day today.

A former United States Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, had declared October 6 as Wizkid Day in 2018, citing several historic feats achieved by the artiste across the World; but his fans have declared February 4, as a day set aside to celebrate the singer. The singer has been trending on Nigeria Twitter as his fans have thronged the social media platform to celebrate the Starboy.

Fire outbreak at Gwarimpa Tipper market



There was a fire outbreak at Tipper Market Gwarimpa, Abuja on Wednesday night. Reports reveal that Traders at the market are currently counting their losses as the huge fire outbreak had destroyed their wares running into millions of Naira, before the Fire Fighters men could intervene.
 
The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be revealed. But Men of the Fire service were on ground to help put out the fire.

'Fulani must go', Edo women chant in their protest against activities of Herders in the state



Some women in Uromi, Esan Local Government Area of Edo state, took to streets in their numbers to protest against the activities of herders in the area, chanting 'Fulani must go'.

The women marched across streets in the town, on Wednesday, demanding the immediate eviction of herders from the area. They accused the herders of being responsible for the violence, killings, rape and kidnappings in the area. Some of the women said they can no longer go to their farms for fear of being raped and killed by herders who take their cows to graze on crops.

Nigerian-born Lawyer, Enoh Ebong appointed as USTDA acting Director by President Biden


A Nigerian-born lawyer, Enoh Titilayo Ebong, has been appointed by US President, Joe Biden, as the acting director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

The USTDA posted on its website on Tuesday while announcing Ebong’s appointment, “The appointment meant a return to USTDA where from 2004 to 2019, Ms Ebong had served in a variety of roles, most recently as the Agency’s General Counsel, and Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer." Ebong in her new role,  is expected to lead the agency in partnering with the country’s private sector in order to develop sustainable infrastructure and foster economic growth in emerging economies.

Enyinna Nwigwe's portrait selected for permanent exhibition at American Museum



Award-winning Nollywood actor Enyinna Nwigwe‘s portrait photograph has been selected for a permanent exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African Art, located on the National Mall of the United States capital, Washington DC.

The Portrait of Enyinna which was taken by Nigerian-American photographer, Iké Udé, was selected to join thousands of traditional and contemporary African art from both Sub-Saharan and North Africa on permanent exhibition at the Museum. The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African Art has housed famous items like Mohammed Ali’s boxing headgear, Oprah Winfrey’s studio couch and Harriet Tubman’s shawl since its official opening in 2016 by former President Barack Obama.

Singer, Yinka Davies loses son, Jeremiah, who was 27 years old.



Veteran Nigerian Singer, Yinka Davies has lost her only child and son, Jeremiah, aged 27, who died last Friday, January 29, after a long battle with Autoimmune blood tissue disorder. 

Jeremiah was said to have been in and out of hospital in the last 10 months and sadly, lost the battle to the disease last Friday. The grieving mum, Yinka took to Instagram to share the sad news of his demise.

Lilian Esoro and Ubi Franklin's marriage gets dissolved officially



Actress Lilian Esoro and Enterpreneur Ubi Franklin got married in November 2015 and separated about a year after but their marriage got officially dissolved on Thursday January 28th at an Abuja High Court.

Lilian first filed for divorce in a Lagos High Court and it was denied and Ubi filed in Abuja and the divorce was granted. They share a 4 year old son, Jason.

Judge cries out after DNA test revealed three of his adult kids are not really his


A judge of the Delta State High Court, Anthony Okorodas, has said DNA tests have recently revealed that he is not the biological father of three children from his marriage with his estranged wife.

Mr Okorodas, who was appointed a judge in 2018, disclosed this in a statement which he issued on Thursday, January 28. The judge in the statement which only circulated online on Monday, said his former wife, Celia, walked away from the marriage when the youngest child, now 17 years old, was just six. Mr Okorodu, who described the situation as traumatic, said he and his current wife had been wholly responsible for the well-being and the education of the three children, two of whom are university undergraduates, since their mother walked away 11 years ago. He said he first got information from an anonymous source indicating that the three children were not his during the COVID-19 lockdown in April 2020, but was only able to confirm the claim to be true through the DNA test in August 2020.

Elon musk shows support for Bitcoin, says its on the verge of being more widely accepted



Billionaire, Elon Musk has expressed his support for Bitcoin Cryptocurrency. On Monday he said bitcoin was “on the verge” of being more widely accepted among investors.

Musk on his debut on the invitation-only social media app Clubhouse, a conversation that drew thousands of listeners said, “I am a supporter of bitcoin,” I think bitcoin is on the verge of getting broad acceptance by conventional finance people.” He added that he should have bought it eight years ago.
