Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle said in a state-wide broadcast Tuesday evening that President Muhammadu Buhari has given bandits in Zamfara two months to surrender.
This is following the statement of traditional rulers in the state to the new service chiefs that the bandits number about 30000 compared to the 10000 troops deployed to stop them. According to the Governor, the President has ordered the deployment of additional 6000 troops to the state if the bandits fail to surrender.
