FCT Minister orders AEPB, other agencies to clear dirt and traders from pedestrian bridges



Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has ordered the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) and other relevant agencies of the FCT Administration (FCTA) to clear dirt and traders from pedestrian bridges.

The minister who led a team of heads of relevant agencies to inspect and assess the level of sanitation on the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Expressway (Airport Road), specifically instructed that the road corridor be kept clean at all times. A statement by the minister’s spokesman, Mr Anthony Ogunleye, said the inspection was a follow-up on an earlier order that pedestrian bridges in the FCT should not be turned into markets and begging points.
