FAAN issues new directives, bars drivers from picking passengers in front of Airport terminals

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has issued a new directive barring drivers from picking arriving passengers at the frontage of the airport terminals. 

The General Manager on corporate affairs, FAAN, in a statement released by Henrietta Yakubu, said the directive is in accordance with COVID-19 protocols set by the Federal Government to mitigate the spread of the virus across Nigeria. According to the statement, drivers are only to pick up arriving passengers at designated car parks and not at the frontage of airport terminals. The statement adds that drivers are also prohibited from waiting for departing passengers as they are only allowed to drop the passengers off.
