Unknown gunmen attacked the Nigeria Police headquarters, Owerri, Imo State and the Nigeria Correctional Services(Prisons), by 12am and 3am on Easter Monday morning.
Reports say the Police cells were opened and several prisoners and detainees were released by the attackers, who urged them to “go home, Jesus has risen”. Casualties are yet to be ascertained.
