Inibehe Effiong, one of Sowore's lawyers, also alleged that a female police officer teargassed Sowore at the Unity Fountain in Abuja during a protest on Monday morning and that he was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has, however, denied reports the social activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters was shot by a female Assistant Commissioner of Police’ at the Unity Fountain.
