According to a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Garba Shehu, which noted that the recent Southern Governors Announcement banning open grazing offers no solution and is of questionable legality, President Buhari has approved a number of specific measures to bring a permanent end to the frequent skirmishes of farmers and herdsmen. The measures are as recommended by Alhaji Sabo Nanono, the Minister of Agriculture in a report he submitted to the President who signed off on it in April.
