"We are ready" - IGP speaks on the Boko Haram threat to Abuja and Jos




According to the Acting Inspector-general of police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, the Police Force is prepared to deal with any threat to lives and property in the federal capital territory (FCT) and Plateau state.


This is following the earlier red warning issued by the police commissioners in both cities, claiming that intelligence reports revealed that the terrorists are planning ahead. The IGP, in a statement issued on Friday, says residents of both states can go about their businesses without panic and citizens should see the alert as a “re-assurance of the intelligence depth capacity and operational preparedness of the Nigeria Police”.
