Following the opinion expressed by Ahmad Gumi when he appeared on ARISE TV on Wednesday, that security personnel are colluding with bandits otherwise gunmen would not have had access to weapons and a soft landing, Army Spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, has described it "sad and unfortunate " and as a calculated attempt to denigrate the Nigerian military and undermine the sacrifices of the troops.
He also asked rhe Islamic Sheik to stop denigrating the Nigerian security personnel as they are putting their lives on the line to rescue abductees as seen in the recent case of the Government Secondary School, Birnin Yawuri from kidnappers.
