Management of FCT Water Board invites Kubwa residents to one day interactive session

The Management of FCT Water Board invites Kubwa residents to a One day interactive session with the Board on Saturday 31st July, 2021 at Government Secondary School Kubwa, opposite General Hospital, Phase 4 Kubwa. This Customer Care Forum is an avenue for the Residents of Kubwa  to make any complaints they may have about the services of the Board.

Recall that in March 2021 Residents of Kubwa were advised to store water to avoid any inconvenience for a few days in a notice made available to InKubwa by the FCT Water Board wishing to inform its esteemed customers that there will be interrupted water supply for the entire kubwa from Thursday 11th March at 11pm to Saturday 13th March by 11pm. This was due to a major maintenance work that will be carried out on the Kubwa trunk line.

The engineers of the Board reportedly worked tirelessly to fix the major trunk line and it wasn't until 31st March that water was back in Kubwa. During the wait period, Kubwa residents were seen groaning in pain under the huge suffering caused by the ongoing water repairs of the trunkline supplying the area.

A truck of water allegedly sold for Four thousand Naira. Residents also said they had been buying per gallon at the rate of N400. Water vendors in Dutse Alhaji relocated to Kubwa as they made huge profits from sales. The FCT Water Board reportedly announced that water supply would be restored by that Monday evening before it was restored a few days later.

Issues to be discussed at the forth coming interactive session this Saturday, 31st July, include over-billing, non-functional meters and non-reflection of payments. Residents of Kubwa are encouraged to save the date.
