This Week On Social Media

In Case You Missed It, interesting things that happened online this week :

1.This is the video everyone was watching this week.

This is the video everyone was watching this week. Falz’s This is Nigeria. Yes, everyone, especially our neighbours. First, it was called a 'copy copy' song then it took on a new twist to the highest news levels because the Muslim organisation MURIC gave Falz an ultimatum to withdraw the video of the song because of his use of female dancers who were dressed in hijab. Is this even technologically possible?

Some other people have criticised the rap artist for doing a remake of Childish Gambino’s This is America. Falz has swiped back at them that he is aware of Childish Gambino’s, This is America's song and video. He said clearly in a video released for that effect, that his song is not an original, it’s a cover. And that is the point. As he puts it, “the earlier you get to the message or messages in the track, the better for your life".

2. Kim Kardashian West visits President Donald Trump at the White House.

Kim Kardashian West visits President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss, of all things, prison reforms. We say of all things because this is seriously the opposite of the general impression about the Kardashian family members that "these people are just joking around". Well, it's no joke. It happened and after her visit, the president pardoned and freed Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother who is serving a life sentence for drug offenses, from prison. And Kim Kardashian called this 63-year-old woman in prison to deliver the good news. While on her visit, Kim also joked to President Trump. As she tells us when the president asked what she would like to talk about “I said, ‘What I really want to know, I’m here because I really want to know why did you kick Khloe off The Apprentice? It was a laugh and it was funny and then we got into business.”

3. The official video for FIFA World Cup 2018 is out.
