Onnoghen: How the FG warned US, UK and EU to mind their own business

Following the press releases of the US, UK and EU expressing concerns over the recent suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen and how the timing casts doubts on the credibility of the forthcoming elections, the FG has warned them in a responding statement to mind their own business by referring them to how "foreign interference, whether state sponsored, promoted or otherwise has dominated recent elections and outcomes globally ".

The Russian effect, anyone?

Nigerians have been quick to point out the hypocrisy of the FG stance noting that the US and UK played vital roles in the current administration's election into power.

In the statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu,  the FG also stated that it  "has supported the independent electoral umpire in both its independence and resources needed to accomplish our desire and insistence on free and fair elections".
