Gunmen attacked two FRSC officials travelling in Hilux jeep on Lokoja-Okene expressway by 1:50pm on Friday. This happened at Ochaba village near Lokoja. The driver was shot in the head and died instantly while the truck crashed into the nearby bushes where it was later found by rescuers.
This is following last week's attack and kidnap of 13 people by gunmen wearing army uniform as well as the gunmen attack of Ifeanyi Uba FC team in Kogi state. Analysts are of the opinions that gun attacks may be a constant feature in Kogi state for the future because hoodlums were empowered with arms and ammunitions during the last gubernatorial and NASS elections in the state.
