Breaking news has it that operators of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), a platform for paying the salaries of federal government workers, are manipulating the system for monetary gains. This is according to an audit by the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation. Operators who should not have access to the platform still do, dates of birth and entry into the federal service are being changed, salaries are in some cases paid double, in others without the necessary deductions like pension and contractors from Soft Alliance Ltd can change live data or set up new users.
