The Federal Government, through the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that no government would fold its arms and allow anarchy, cautions anti-SARS campaigners against breaching national security , this is a few hours after the Nigerian Army had said that its launching Exercise Crocodile smile VI. Mohammed, said that while the original conveners of the #EndSARS protests might have meant well, it was obvious that they were no longer in control of the initiative.
The #EndSARS protesters in response to Lai Mohammed's statement said that the deployment of Army against them would not stop them from continuing with their daily rallies and demand for police reforms. They said any move to deploy military force would not only backfire but encourage the Army to join the protest. On its part, ASCAB led by a human rights activist, Femi Falana, SAN, vowed to drag the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, to the International Criminal Court in the hague if any of the #EndSARs protesters was killed by any soldiers.
