Katsina bans the use of social media in Public Schools and amongst its State Government Workers

Katsina State Government has embarked on a social media clampdown in its Schools and among the Civil Servants by ordering Schools to ban the use of Whatapp, Facebook or any other social media platforms for information dissemination.

The circular which was dated December 7 and titled, "Abolishing of whatapp groups in our schools," signed by one Mr Muhammad Sada Dikko, for the Zonal Coordinator. The State Government workers were also asked to avoid the use of social media platforms to comment on Government activities either possitively or negatively.
