Lagos State Residents, stormed the Alausa office of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in the state, this morning, as the two-week deadline for the deactivation of sim cards not linked to their National Identification numbers draw near.
Photos shared online shows that those who visited the NIMC office flouted all COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing despite the fact that Nigeria is currently experiencing the second wave of the viral disease. The House of Representatives has asked the NCC to extend the two-week ultimatum to ten weeks but the Commission is yet to make a public reversal of its notice.
