Following the Ultimatum given to Fulani Herdsmen by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, to vacate Ondo state, a leader of cattle breeders group Miyetti Allah, Abdullahi Bodejo, has said the Governor has no power to drive the herdsmen from the state forest reserves, adding that Fulani have been in the forests he is talking about for over 250-years, long before he was born.
Mr. Bodejo, urged the Governor to reconsider his seven-day ultimatum for the herdsmen to leave Ondo forests following repeated deadly attacks. “The Ondo State governor doesn’t have any right to give such an ultimatum to our people. People, including Fulani voted for him to be the governor; so he should be the governor of everybody in the state," he said.
