President Buhari to spend N17.3 billion in running the state house, highest amount since he assumed office

President Muhammadu Buhari administration allocates N17.3 billion this year to run the State House, Nigeria’s seat of power, including the ‘presidential wing’ of a hospital the president barely uses. This is the highest amount ever allocated to the State House, since the President assumed office in 2015.

About N3.4 billion of the allocated amount will be spent on feeding and travel expenses for the offices of the President and the Vice-president. The President gets about N2.6 billion and the Vice President, about N873 million.
