The Court did this by striking out the lawsuit suit filed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in respect of which the ex-parte order freezing the accounts for 180 days was made on November 4, 2020. The order had been made pursuant to the investigation of the CBN on whether the EndSARS Promoters were funding terrorism.
Justice Mohammed of the Federal High Court proceeded today to strike out the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1384/2020 and ordered CBN to unfreeze the 20 EndSARS Promoters' accounts after the lawyers to the parties informed the Court of an amicable settlement and reconciliation.
