Zamfara Police Commissioner, Abutu Yaro has confirmed that about 317 girls were abducted from Government Girls Science Secondary School Jangebe in Jangebe, Zamfara State by unknown gunmen in the early hours of today February 26 contrary to the earlier report of 300 students.
Yaro said a joint search and rescue operation is already underway with a view to rescuing the 317 students kidnapped by the gunmen.
