The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) blasts President Mohammadu Buhari, says he no longer deserves to be called Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces because he has failed to function in that capacity.
Kola Ologbondiyan, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, said this in a statement titled, “Mr. President! You Have Failed As Commander-In-Chief, PDP Tells Buhari,” in Abuja, on Sunday, in Abuja. "Following the president’s manifest failure to lead the battle against insurgents, bandits, and criminals from the front like he promised Nigerians before he was elected, he no longer deserves to be referred to as Commander-In-Chief," the PDP said. Ologbondiyan further stated that, "the recent declaration by his former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, that, under the current approach, it will take the nation 20 years to vanquish terrorists, is a direct hit on President Buhari’s failure as a Commander-in-Chief."
