Aba in Abia state witnessed a complete shutdown although it was partial compliance in Umuahia the state capital. A grave incident occurred when a bus leaving Umuahia was purportedly stopped by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) members. They were said to have shot at the tyres to stop the bus and in the process shot a passenger in the hip. The passenger was unable to escape like others when the bus was consequently burnt down. The sit-at-home turned bloody in Imo state where gunmen killed four people and set a house and some buses ablaze. There was also shootings in Orlu, Mbaise. Ebonyi State experienced partial compliance and a church member was hit by stray bullet. It was differnt in the state capital Owerri where the sit-at-home order was ignored. Enugu however observed total compliance with IPOB's order same as some parts in Anambra State like Onitsha and Nnewi where it was also bloody.
