1.
Go easy with the toners and
cleansers, because of how dry the weather is they seem to further strip the
skin of essential oil.
2.
To take off your makeup at the
end of the day, use a ball of cotton wool dip into any baby oil to take off your
makeup then wash your face. Don’t forget to use a face sponge, the usual soft
small thingies or face towels, to help you get rid of makeup. Pat dry with a
towel and apply your moisturizer.
3.
Avoiding peeling off dry
chapped skin on your lip instead apply Vaseline liberally on your lips before
your go to bed. After brushing in the morning, run your tooth brush lightly on
your lips to take off any dry patches or exfoliate with honey and sugar. Always
apply a lip moisturizer (e.g. EOS, Burt’s Bees beeswax lip balm and Maybelline
baby lips are good lip moisturizers) before your lipsticks especially if you
like the matte liquid lipstick.
4.
Never wear your makeup without
a face primer. Primers are very important. They help create a barrier between your
skin and your makeup, they make makeup last (primers like Smashbox photo
finish, No 7 boots face primer, Mac prep+ prime fix +, Urban decay face primer)
5.
Exfoliate/scrub your face one
or twice a week; this is necessary to rid the surface of the skin of dry skin
cells, impurities and buildup of dead skin cells, which result in excess oil, clogged
pores and easy breakout.
6.
Always color correct, then
conceal before foundation application and blend, blend and blend. This is why makeup
brushes are very important to apply makeup products.
7.
Eyebrows define the face, groom
them once or twice a month by either tweezing them or grooming them with razor
blades.
