The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, said the Federal Government of Nigeria was in touch with the government of the United Kingdom on the matter and although two weeks were anticipated for the return, Nigeria is not in control of the banks and “documentations with the banks in different countries often take longer than anticipated" but the loot will be returned soon.
The loot was seized from the associates of a convicted former Governor of Delta State.
