The
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has asked school owners, parents and
guardians to ensure strict compliance with the COVID protocol to prevent the
spread of the virus as schools resume across the country.
Chikwe Ihekweazu, director-general of the NCDC, said this on
Monday at the media briefing of the presidential steering committee (PSC) on
COVID-19, held in Abuja. According to him, children aren’t immune to the virus,
but may present symptoms differently from adults.
