The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) is on the heels of a syndicate bringing beggars into Abuja in large numbers from states across the country.
A combined team of Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) and Social Development Secretariat (SDS) on Tuesday in Abuja went round the Federal Capital City and arrested over 150 beggars constituting nuisance in the nation’s capital. While the beggars have been taken to Bwari Area Council Center for Rehabilitation, the FCTA has vowed to arrest and prosecute the syndicate behind them.
