Overpowered Boko Haram terrorists in Yobe State forced to retreat

Acting on a tip-off, Nigerian Army troops were said to have overpowered Boko Haram terrorists in Geidam, a town in Yobe State, forcing them to beat retreat. The Boko Haram insurgents, who launched a massive attack on Geidam two months ago, had attempted to infiltrate the town on Wednesday evening.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni commended the security operatives for exhibiting bravery and asked residents to continue to supply them with timely and useful information.
